The Xray team is proud to announce the release of Xray 3.6.0.

The main goal for this version is to improve the Requirement issue web panel by providing a full data table with pagination, search and sort capabilities.

Also, there is now a dedicated "Actual Results" field on manual Test Step results. The actual results field also supports embedding images.

Another useful feature can be found on the Test Plan issue. Users can now use the new filter component with the ability to use any Jira field for filtering and also JQL.

As part of our continuous improvement, more performance enhancements have also been included in this version.

Requirement Test Coverage Data Table

You can now use a data table on the Test Coverage web panel within a Requirement issue. This data table features:

  • pagination

  • filtering

  • sorting

Other useful features have also been added:

  • Delete Test links direclty from the data table

  • Create Test/Test Set links using the Xray issue picker dialog

  • See latest Test Runs affecting the status for each Test

It is now possible to import execution results and provide a JSON template document to create Test cases.

Possible usage scenarios include required fields in Test issues and any additional information for Test cases when they are created automatically by Xray.

"Actual Results" Field on Test Step Results

A dedicate "Actual Results" field is now available on Test Step Results. This field supports the Jira wiki markup notation. You can also reference attachments/images from the evidence available on the Test Run.

Users can now include any issue field (native or custom fields) on the filters component within a Test Execution. JQL searches are also possible as of now.

We have applied this new filter component on the Tests web panel within the Test Plan issue.

Of course, these filters are also saved in user preferences so that context is not lost when navigating between issues and reports.

Filter including additional fields and JQL

Users can now Filtering within a Test Plan issue has just been made easier. It is now possible to include any issue field (native or custom fields) on the filters component to filter Tests within a Test ExecutionPlan issue. JQL searches are also possible as of now.We have applied this new filter component on the Tests web panel within the Test Plan issue.

Of course, these filters the filter values are also saved in user preferences so that context is not lost users do not lose context when navigating between issues and reports.
