This is the most basic type a snippet can have. They contain information about the mapping like its title and description. To apply to the word or excel document just click on the mapping once.

The collections type contains information about the mapping like its title and description. The main difference is that with collections, you can choose what mappings to apply to the document, and when you click the "Apply" button it's going to apply the name of the collection and the name of the mapping.
They are basically a mix between simple snippets and iterations since they are visually very iteration-like but inserted into the document like a group of simple snippets.
Notes:
If you uncheck any mapping, that mapping is not going to be applied to the document;
You can use the arrow on the right side of the apply button to close or open the collection.
