Add Tests to a Test Plan using the Issue Picker Dialog

Aside from adding Tests to the Test Plan using the issue create screen, you can also do it in the Test issue page or directly in the tests section of the Test Plan issue page, as follows.

 Click Add.

Click the Tests... option to open the Issue Picker Dialog.

- Note that if you choose Test Sets, you are not actually adding Test Set(s); instead, you are adding the Tests that belong to that Test Set(s).

Open the Search tab.

Configure the search - In in this case we will use JQL functionality from the Issue picker dialog.

 Check the tests you wish to add from the listed results.

 Add tests by pressing "Add selected."

The issues will then appear in the list of test in the plan.

Add Tests to a Test Plan by Editing the Issue

You can add Test to a Test plan just like you would do it for any other field.

That would be done by To do this, click "Edit" and then access the "Test Plan Details.".

Adding Test Plan to a Test

The same way you can add a Test to a Test Plan you can do the reverse by accessing the Test and then associated Test Plans like shown in the picture below picture.

Test Order

Ranking of Tests within the Test Plan can be done in two ways: directly in the Test Plan issue screen (if Hierarchical Test Oganization is disabled) or in the Test Plan Board (if Hierarchical Test Organization is enabled). This means you can rank Tests, whether you use hierarchies or not.
