The Xray team is proud to announce the release of Xray 6.5.0.
This version features Dynamic Test Plans, an improved way to define a Test Plan by defining a saved filter as the source of tests for the Test Plan. This way, all tests on the filter will be added automatically into the Test Plan.

Dynamic Test Plans
This highly requested Xray Enterprise feature allows user to create and keep your test plans updated in a seamless way.
Configure Test Plan with Saved Filter
One of the features of a Test Plan is that it allows you to add tests in different ways. In addition to being able to explicitly add tests to the Test Plan, you can now use a filter and define a custom JQL depending on your needs so that tests will appear automatically on the Test Plan. A filter is a predefined set of criteria that selects tests based on certain attributes, such as status, priority, assignee, or label. A custom JQL is a query language that lets you write more complex and flexible conditions to select tests based on any field or property. By using a filter or a custom JQL, you can save time and effort in adding tests to the Test Plan and ensure that your Test Plan is always up-to-date with the latest changes in your test cases.

Just one more, yet important, thing...
Documentation is always important, and sometimes you may miss it. We added a set of relevant articles to our already extensive documentation.
In this release, we have created a new section dedicated to the brand-new Test Case Designer (available on Xray Enterprise). You will find many articles full of tips related to test modeling, and pairwise and n-wise testing.
We also invested in refining some existing Xporter and Document Generator templates, documenting some of them, so you can use them as-is or customize them to your own test reporting needs.
There's also a new open-source Maven plugin, made from scratch, with plenty of new features that the community can further evolve; this one replaces and deprecates the previous proprietary Maven plugin.
Here's a summary of all the relevant articles that we've added and updated recently:
