The Xray team is proud to announce the release of Xray Exploratory App for Windows and Mac version 1.0.0.

This initial version enables you to:

Connect to Xray/Jira Cloud, Server and DataCenter
Support for Jira Cloud Next Gen Projects
Create new Tests, Executions and Test Runs in Xray
Execute Tests with the option "Execute with Exploratory App" from Xray in Jira
Full support for Generic (unstructured) Tests
Manual (structured) Tests not yet supported
Add test coverage, preconditions, test environments and fix versions to test sessions
Create Test Sessions with:
- Video capture/recording
- Audio recording
- Screenshots
- Notes
- Defects and other issues like improvements
- PDF session reports
Preview preconditions in Tests
Annotate screenshots
Edit session timeline, delete evidence, reorder and more
Submit test session to Xray Jira with evidence (screenshots, videos, notes, audio clips, and PDF report)
Export test sessions locally in a zip folder with all media and PDF report

You can also use the app without Xray or Jira. It works as a stand-alone capturing tool and you can generate a test session report locally.
