When migrating from Xray Server to Xray Cloud, the migration process does not create, modify, or update any data. It simply transfers your existing Xray entities, such as test cases, test plans, test sets, and test executions to the cloud version of Xray.

However, **any changes made to Xray data during the migration process (such as creating, updating, or deleting issues) may not be included in the migration and **<span style="color: #bf2600">**could even cause it to fail**</span>**.** To prevent this, ensure that all necessary updates are completed before starting the migration. Additionally, <u>make sure there are no automations in place that create or import data into the Xray projects being migrated. </u>To avoid any issues, these projects should remain static until the migration is successfully completed.
