Atlassian introduced [Jira Cloud App Editions](https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/app-plans/#about-app-editions), enabling vendors to provide multiple edition tiers (e.g., Standard, Advanced, Enterprise). Xray adopted this framework and now offers:

- **Xray Standard**
- **Xray Advanced**
- **Xray Enterprise (a standalone app)**

In some Jira Cloud environments, customers may experience access or functionality conflicts, mainly with Gadgets in the dashboards, when both Xray Standard/Advanced and Xray Enterprise are installed simultaneously.

**Recommended Solution for access issues**

The documented and recommended solution is to:

✔ Remove one of the applications

Depending on which variant you intend to use, you should uninstall the other to avoid conflicts.

If you intend to use Xray Enterprise, it is fully standalone and does not require Xray Standard or Xray Advanced to function.

**What Happens if I Uninstall Xray Standard but Keep Xray Enterprise?**

You can safely uninstall Xray Standard.
Xray Enterprise works independently and does not depend on Standard or Advanced tiers.

**Is There Any Data Loss If I Remove Xray Standard or Xray Enterprise?**

Xray stores test data in its own storage layer, and data is not removed just by removing one of the apps as suggested.

**Problem with Dashboard Gadgets:**

As mentioned in our documentation on [App Editions](https://docs.getxray.app/space/XRAYCLOUD/393183414/App+Editions#1---Installation-and-Migration-Scenarios)

*Users who have been utilizing gadgets with both applications installed (Xray + Xray Enterprise) prior to release 6.9.0 will need to remove, reinstall, and reconfigure their gadgets, as they will become unavailable after uninstalling one of the apps. The same applies to users who move from Enterprise to Standard/Advanced or vice versa. In these cases, the existing **[gadget](https://docs.getxray.app/space/XRAYCLOUD/44566250)** configurations will no longer be valid and must be set up again to ensure proper functionality.*

If the gadgets are erroneous as shown in the above image, then please provide Edit permissions for the Users Xray and Xray Enterprise – Test Management for Jira for the Dashboard/s.

Please reach [Xray Support](https://jira.getxray.app/servicedesk/customer/portals) along with the dashboard URL in which you have edited the permissions.

Eg: https://<JiraURL>.net/jira/dashboards/10001/

We have a script to bring the Dashboard to active, provided that the gadgets are listed [Xray Gadgets](https://docs.getxray.app/space/XRAYCLOUD/44566250/Reporting+using+Gadgets).
