Install the Desktop Application on **Windows** and **Mac** operating systems. Below, you can find the instructions for the installation process for both scenarios:

Installing Desktop Application on Windows

1. [Download](https://getxraydocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/XEA/pages/43483540) and launch the installer.
2. Review the License Agreement, click** I Agree** to accept and continue.
3. In the **Choose Installation Options** screen, select whether you want to make this software available to all users or yourself. Click **Next**.
4. Select the **Destination Folder **where to install the desktop app. Click **Install**.
5. The **Completing Xray Exploratory App Setup** screen displays after the installation is completed. Click **Finish** to close the installation wizard.

> ℹ️ In Windows, you must always have the Print Spooler service running to generate the PDF report.

Installing Desktop Application on Mac

Starting from version 2.0.5, select the build tailored to Mac users with Apple Silicon or Intel Chips.

To install the macOS application, double-click the:

- **xray-exploratory-app-x64.dmg **file if you want to install on an Intel Chip,
- **xray-exploratory-app-arm64.dmg **file if want to install on an Apple Silicon Chip,

Drag the app to the Applications shortcut.
