## **How AI Features Use Your Data**

When you use AI features, your input - combined with any additional context you provide (e.g., documents or project tickets) - is securely transmitted to a large language model (LLM) via encrypted API. This enriched prompt helps generate contextually relevant results. No content is automatically applied - you must explicitly choose to accept or use it.

## **Model Behavior and Data Residency**

Our AI capabilities are powered by[ ](https://www.sembi.com/iq/)**[Sembi IQ](https://www.sembi.com/iq/)**, which leverages **Amazon Web Services (AWS) Bedrock** infrastructure. Specifically, we use:

- **Amazon Titan **for text embeddings to enhance data retrieval and relevance
- **Amazon Nova LLM** – for natural language generation

Key technical safeguards include:

- **Inference-only Mode: **we do not train or learn from your data.
- **Regional Data Isolation: **All AI interactions occur within your selected AWS region (US, EU, or AU) in alignment with your data residency and regulatory requirements.

## **Data Ownership and Privacy**

All inputs you provide to AI, as well as the outputs it generates, are treated as **“Customer Content”** under our General Terms of Use. This means:

- **You retain ownership** of all AI-related data and outputs.
- **We do not share this data** with other customers or external parties beyond the listed sub-processors.
- **We do not use this data** for training or improving AI models.
- **AI features are optional**, and using them does not alter your rights or data protections.

## **Transparency and Control**

To promote transparency and control:

- **AI features require an acknowledgement** of AI terms to enable AI capabilities. Administrators can decline and disable it for their users.
- **AI only processes the data the user inputs into the AI feature** such as specific requirements or test details.
- **No AI-generated output is applied automatically.** You must explicitly choose to accept or use it.
- **AI outputs are not human-reviewed** before being returned to the application. Accuracy is not guaranteed and must be validated before use.
