We apologize for any inconvenience caused and express gratitude for your patience and feedback. # Release Highlights ## Improved Jira API Retry Behaviour ### What’s New With this update, Xray improves how it handles Jira API responses under Atlassian's updated rate-limiting controls. - **Faster and lighter on Jira.** Xray now caches frequently requested Jira data, including permission lookups and common issue metadata, Xray makes fewer repeated calls to your Jira instance. This is especially noticeable on large projects with complex permission schemes, and it reduces the chance of Xray contributing to Jira rate-limit pressure during peak usage. The caching layer is configurable internally, which lets us tune behavior safely as we roll out further optimizations. - **More resilient under pressure.** We've consolidated all of Xray's outbound HTTP traffic into a single, instrumented layer with unified rate-limit, burst-limit, and retry handling. - **Better performance at scale.** Driven by investigations on real-world enterprise workloads, we've tuned how Xray handles heavy usage patterns, including reporting related data fetches that previously added page-load overhead. The result is more consistent responsiveness as test repositories, execution history, and user counts grow. --- > ℹ️ ## Reminder > ℹ️ > ℹ️ If you are still on Xray Cloud 6.16.0, your Jira admin must manually update Xray to the latest version to take advantage of all recent and future releases.
