# Upcoming Features

## Unlock the Power of JQL for Xray on Jira Cloud - Beta

Custom Xray JQL Functions will soon be available in Jira Cloud (Figure 1)! Initially, as a Beta feature, you'll be able to leverage 29 custom Xray JQL functions to query, filter, and analyze your Xray data with ease— making searches more precise and reporting more efficient.

### **What’s New?**

🔎 **JQL Support for Xray Data**

- Use JQL queries to search for Test, Test Execution, Test Plan, and other Xray entities.
- Easily filter test cases based on status, coverage, execution results, and more.

📊 **Enhanced Filtering & Reporting**

- Create JQL-powered dashboards and reports to track testing progress with greater precision.
- Combine Xray queries with Jira issues for a complete view of test coverage and execution.

⚙️ **Seamless Jira Integration**

- Leverage JQL to power automation rules, filters, and saved searches in Jira.
- Works across global and project-level settings to match your team’s needs.

These updates will simplify how you find, analyze, and manage your Xray data in Jira Cloud. 🚀

## Xray Enterprise Test Case Designer

### Rework of the Manual Scripting Experience

With this release, you can create multiple [Script](https://getxraydocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/XRAYCLOUD/pages/44565563) templates per model (similar to Automate) and use the Condition field to specify when certain steps do or do not apply (Figure 2). That significantly improves the flexibility of your modeling, especially when it comes to rule-heavy, branching flows. The look and feel have also been modernized and brought closer to Xray.

Please note that the “Relax” feature is now enjoying well-deserved retirement (along with the *Start* and *Finish* sections). However, there is a *Simple Parameters Script* option on the Export screen that performs a similar function, and you can now clone steps.

You can find more details from the *Usage* section now available on the Manual Scripts screen, as well as from the updated documentation in the knowledge center.

### New "Scenarios" Option on the Export Screen

Before this, you could export just the data table (without any scripts), leveraging the *Save As* dropdown on the Scenarios screen in Test Case Designer. Now, the same format options (CSV, JSON, Gherkin Data Table, etc.) are also available under the *Scenarios* tile on the Export screen (Figure 3).

This not only consolidates your choices in one place but also establishes the foundation for future API work.
