# Overview

As a Jira administrator, you can create additional Test Step statuses. These statuses are applied to [Test Step](https://getxraydocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/XRAYCLOUD/pages/44565316) results. Each status can have a name, description, a specific color, and a [Test Run](https://getxraydocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/XRAYCLOUD/pages/44565109) status.

If you delete a status and there are Test Step results in this particular status, then you'll be prompted for a migration status field to update the affected Test Steps.
