# Introduction

By default, each Space inherits the globally-defined Miscellaneous settings. However, each Space can use its own settings. 

To use Space-level settings, please make sure to **Enable Space Settings** at the top of the page (Figure 1 - 1).

# Miscellaneous

#### Display Manual Test Steps table in short view

When this option is enabled, the cells of the Manual Test Steps table will be displayed in short-view mode. If this mode is enabled, the rows will have a limited height to allow for better page navigation. There is an expand option within each cell to be able to view the complete content.

# Test Run Options

#### Inline Execute Tests

When this option is enabled, Test Runs can be executed inline, directly from the Test Execution issue view page. This option is only available if the final Test Run Status can be manually set.

#### Fail All Steps

When this option is enabled, all the Test Steps/Examples Statuses will be updated to FAIL whenever the status of a Test Run is changed to FAIL.

#### Can Edit TestRun Dates

<span style="color: #000000">When this option is enabled, the user can edit the Started On date in the Test Execution Details page.</span> 

#### Send email notifications to Test Run assignee

When this option is enabled, whenever a test run is either created or assigned, its assignee will receive an email notification.

#### Display Manual Test Results table in short view

#### Track Time

When this option is enabled, the Time Tracker module is displayed.

#### <span style="color: #172b4d">Set the value of the Time Tracker</span>

When this option is enabled, the user can set the timer value of the Time Tracker.

# Defect Links

Options related to the creation of Defect issue link in the context of execution of tests.

#### <span style="color: #000000">Link Defects with Test</span>

When this option is enabled, the defects created in the context of a test run are automatically linked to the Test being executed.

#### Link Defects with Test Execution

When this option is enabled, the defects created in the context of a test run are automatically linked to the Test Execution issue.

#### Link Defects with Covered Issues

When this option is enabled, the defects created in the context of a test run are automatically linked to the covered issues being tested.


# <span style="color: #333300">Workflow statuses</span>

#### Disallow executions of Tests with workflow statuses

This will not allow<span style="color: #000000"> Tests within certain workflow statuses from being executed or even added to Test Executions. Sometimes, a Test is still being written and should not be added to a Test Execution. In those cases, just indicate which Test workflow statuses are considered "not ready to be executed".</span>

#### Disallow executions with workflow statuses

<span style="color: #000000">This indicates the status of the Test Execution issues that will not be allowed to execute. For example, if you configure this list with the "Closed" status, then users will not be able to execute Test Runs in this Test Execution issue when a Test Execution issue transitions to "Closed". </span>

# Testing Board

<span style="color: #172b4d">When the </span><span style="color: #172b4d">*enable icon to open test dataset directly*</span><span style="color: #172b4d"> option (Figure 2 - 1) is disabled, the Issues listed on the Testing Board do not show the dataset icon.</span>

Once you're finished configuring, click *Save* (Figure 2 - 3) to make the changes effective.

## Clone Behaviour

When the *keep repository folder when cloning a test or a precondition* option (Figure 2 - 2) is enabled, cloned [Tests](https://getxraydocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/XRAYCLOUDDRAFT/pages/44834086) and [Preconditions](https://getxraydocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/XRAYCLOUDDRAFT/pages/44829620) are automatically assigned to the same [Test Repository](https://getxraydocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/XRAYCLOUDDRAFT/pages/44828545) folder as the original Test.

Once you're finished configuring, click *Save* (Figure 2 - 3) to make the changes effective.
