# Introduction

[Test Executions](https://getxraydocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/XRAYCLOUD/pages/44565117) can be manipulated in the Testing Board, <span style="color: #172b4d">a tool for organizing and tracking Testing activities within a project. It provides an overview of all Tests and their statuses, helping QA teams monitor progress, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment with project requirements. The Testing Board supports a clear, organized workflow, aiding in efficient decision-making throughout the Testing process.</span>

> ℹ️ <span style="color: #333333">The Testing Board is available in projects with Xray Issue Types or Issue Types that are coverable by Xray. </span>If your project previously met these criteria but no longer does, and you wish to remove the Testing Board menu item, you can disable it in the Xray settings for that project.

- Figure 3 - 1: Testing board navigation breadcrumbs.
- Figure 3 - 2: Create new Test Execution button.

- Figure 3 - 7: Test Execution. If you click a Test Execution, you'll be redirected to the Test Execution view of the respective Test Execution (Figure 4).

# Operations

## Tracking Progress

### Overall Progress

The progress of every Test in the Test Execution can be tracked on this screen (Figure 5).

There is an overall view of the Test Execution progress (Figure 5 - 1) and each of the Test's status can be seen below (Figure 5 - 2).

## Test Actions

In the bottom half of the screen, you can see the list of Tests associated with the Test Executions that make up the Test Runs of the Test Execution (Figure 6 - 1).

Right-clicking a Test will open a box with the actions available for that Test (Figure 6 - 2).

### Execute

Clicking *Execute* (Figure 7 - 1) will allow you to choose a different status for the selected Test (Figure 7 - 2).

### Execute with Exploratory App

Clicking *Execute* *with Exploratory App* (Figure 7 - 1) will open the [Xray Exploratory App](https://www.getxray.app/exploratory-testing) to execute the respective Test.

### Assign

Clicking *Assign* (Figure 7 - 1) will open a modal that allows you to select assign the Test Run(s) to a specific user (Figure 8 - 1).

Once you've selected the user, click *Assign* (Figure 8 - 2).

### Change Rank

Clicking* Change Rank* (Figure 7 - 1) will allow you to change the rank of a Test Run in the list of Test Runs of the Test Execution.

A modal will open for you to enter a new rank (Figure 9 - 1; it must be a numeric character). Then, click *Apply* (Figure 9 - 2).

You can also change ranks by dragging and dropping a Test in the desired position.

### Dataset

Clicking the *Dataset* option (Figure 7 - 1) will open the Dataset modal for the Test Run.

If there is no dataset defined, you can define one by adding parameters or importing a CSV file (Figure 10 - 1). Once you're finished, click *Save* (Figure 10 - 2).

### Archive

Clicking *Archive* (Figure 7 - 1) will open a modal (Figure 11) for you to confirm the archiving of the selected Test Run(s).

Click *Archive* to confirm (Figure 11 - 1).

### Remove

Clicking *Remove* (Figure 7 - 1) will open a modal (Figure 12) for you to confirm the removal of the selected Test Run(s) from the Test Execution.

Click *Remove* to confirm (Figure 12 - 1).
