Automated Test Execution Archiving
To address the growing volume of Test Executions generated by continuous integration processes, Xray introduces an automated solution to help maintain optimal performance in Jira and Xray.
Key Benefits:
- Automated Archiving for legacy Test Executions: Provides Jira administrators with the ability to automatically archive older Test Execution issues that no longer contribute to the current status of a Test, helping to reduce data clutter and improve system performance.
- Integration with Jira Datacenter Archiving: Utilizes the existing issue archiving process available for Jira Datacenter to streamline the archiving of Test Executions, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Improved Performance and Scalability: Helps mitigate performance degradation by reducing the volume of historical Test Executions retained in active analysis scopes.
- Customizable Archiving Rules: Administrators can configure archiving based on age thresholds, such as archiving Test Executions older than a specified period (e.g., 1 year), ensuring flexibility to suit organizational needs.
This enhancement aims to provide a scalable solution for managing large volumes of Test Executions while maintaining optimal performance and data relevance.
