Setting up Xray is quite simple, you just need to follow simple steps to make it completely functional.
However, some decisions may need the input of your team, for example of a QA Manager.
What to expect from the basic configuration?
In basic configuration:
You will keep most of the Xray default settings - Default options are ok for most organizations.
You will work with 1 project that has Requirements & Tests all together
What needs to be configured to start working with Xray?
- Xray Issue Types - Make Xray issue types available at your projects in order to enable users to create Tests, Test Sets, Test Plans and Test Executions.
- Setting testable issue (requirement) - set which issue type should be considered a requirement (can be covered by tests)
- Setting defects - set which issue type should be considered a defect.
