The Xray team is proud to announce Xray Exploratory App for Windows, Mac, and Linux version 1.6.0. 

Is your team creating many tests and defects from the Exploratory App, and you want to track that on Jira? Do you like customization? This update is for you. So, what's new?


New installation requirements

Note that since version 1.4.0, the Exploratory App requires Jira Server and Data Center version 8.4.0 or higher.

Release highlights 

  • Now you can turn on automatic labels in the App Settings. This setting will automatically add a label "Created_XEA" to new tests, test executions, and defects created in the Exploratory app. This label will allow you to find and filter issues on Jira using JQL.

  • If you don't like the default color of the annotation tools and find yourself constantly changing that, you can now define the default color in the app settings.
  • Many improvements like tooltips to expand information when it is not fully visible; better data display on lists; more detailed error messages on large attachments. And more.
