Test Executions can be manipulated in the Testing Board.
How to access it
To access the Test Executions view
Overview of the Test Executions view UI
- Testing board navigation breadcrumbs
- Create new Test Execution button
- Export Test Execution list
- Filter Test Executions
- Sort Test Executions
- Test Execution Progress
- Test Execution
Clicking on one of the Test Executions you'll be redirected to the Test Execution view of the respective Test Execution.
Overview of the Test Execution view UI
- Testing Board navigation breadcrumbs
- Test Execution summary (editable when clicked on)
- Add Tests menu, providing the possibility to add tests to this Test Execution
- Open a Jira issue dialog of this Test Execution issue
- Menu with the following options:
- Generate Cucumber feature files
- Import execution results
- Use document generator to export information on this Test Execution - Test Execution fields (editable when clicked on)
- Test Execution progress
- Filter the Tests in this Test Execution
- One Test in the list of Tests in this Test Execution
- The rank of the Test in this Test Execution
- Execute the Test or go to the Execution page
- Open the Dataset for the respective Test
- Test Status (can be changed by clicking on it)
How to reach the Test Execution view from the issue view
In a Test Execution issue view, by pressing on the "View on board" link, you'll be redirected to the Test Execution view of the respective issue in the Testing Board.
Tracking Progress
The progress of every Test in the Test Execution can be tracked in this page.
There is an overall view of the Test Execution progress and in addition each of the Test's status can be seen in the list below it.
Overall Progress
The section just below the Test Execution's fields presents the Overall progress of the Test Execution. Hovering over the bar you can see details of how main tests have the respective status and what's the percentage in relation to the total number of Tests.
Test Actions
Below the Overall progress of the Test Execution lies the list of Tests associated to the Test Executions that make up the Test Runs of the Test Execution.
Right-clicking on a Test or when you have multiple Tests selected will bring the actions available.
Execute
Changes the status of the Test(s) to the chosen one.
Execute with Exploratory App
Opens the Exploratory App (XEA) to execute the respective Test.
Assign
Assign the Test Run(s) to a specific user
Change Rank
Change the rank of a Test run in the list of Test Runs of the Test Execution.
The same action can be done by dragging the Test Run.
Dataset
Open the Dataset dialog for the Test Run.
Archive
Archive the selected Test Run(s).
Remove
Remove the Test Run(s) from the Test Execution.
