Problem
When performing multiple migrations from the Jira Server/Data Center to the Jira Cloud using the JCMA (Jira Cloud Migration Assistance), it will duplicate the Xray custom fields:
- Begin Date
- End Date
- Revision
Why does this happen?
These fields will consistently be duplicated, regardless of whether they share the same name or not. This behavior is inherent to Jira, and unfortunately, there is no way to prevent it. Specifically, if two fields have the same name, the system will automatically append "(migrated)" to one of them, such as "Revision(migrated)." Please be aware that this behavior is beyond our control and is a standard Jira functionality. Xray Cloud will use the fields that it created, not the ones that were migrated, but it will copy data from the ones that were migrated during the migration process.
