When trying to create a Test or Precondition in the Test Repository, the system prompts you to specify a Parent Issue.

Known Causes

This issue does not occur when creating an Issue Type: Test using the Create button.

 It only happens when attempting to create it directly through the Test Repository.

 

The Parent custom field is not set as mandatory, which prevents the user from proceeding.

Steps to fix the error

As a workaround, move the Parent field so it does not appear first on the Create screen.
