When you purchase or try Xray, often you already have one or more projects you're working on, and you want to test. Xray provides the ability to add Requirement Coverage analysis to your Requirement project without having to couple any Issue Types or make extra configurations.
There are two ways to enable the Requirement Coverage:
Enabling Xray Requirement Coverage via the Xray Administration Page
On your Jira Data Center instance, click the gear icon (Figure 1 - 1) and then select Manage apps (Figure 1 - 2).

On the left side of the screen, the Xray menu will appear (Figure 2). There, click Requirement Projects (Figure 2 - 1).

The Requirement Projects screen will open (Figure 2 - 2).
Select the Project(s) for which the Requirement Coverage you want to enable. There are two ways to do this:
- Use the search to find the Project(s), type the Project's name, and press Enter to add it (Figure 2 - 3).
- Choose the Project(s) by selecting the box next to it (Figure 2 - 4).
Once you've selected your Project, click Add Project (Figure 2 - 5).
A modal will open (Figure 3), prompting you to confirm the Project(s) for which Requirement Coverage you want to enable.
Click Add selected or Add all (Figure 3 - 1).

You will see a success message (Figure 4 - 1). The Requirement Coverage is now enabled for the selected Project(s).

Enabling Xray Requirement Coverage via the Project Administration Page
On the top menu of Jira Server/DC instance, click Projects (Figure 5 - 1) and select the Project for which the Requirement Coverage you want to enable (Figure 5 - 2).

Click Project settings (Figure 5 - 3).
Scroll down until you find the Xray Settings, and there, click Requirement Coverage (Figure 6 - 1).

Use the Requirement Coverage toggle (Figure 6 - 2) to enable/disable the Requirement Coverage on that Project.
