A project will automatically have its own library that cannot be shared with other projects. Here you will be able to edit the definition of the project library or opt to use a shared global library. For more information on global libraries visit Global Settings: BDD Step Libraries.

The project's default Library:

If your project is using a global library, you will only be able to see the library. Editing a shared library is only possible in the Global Settings.

A project using a shared Library:

Editing the Project Library

Step Index Heuristics and Permissions can be edited. If the heuristics change, the Library will be reindexed automatically to apply the new rules.

Using a different Library

On the top right corner, you can select to use different Library.

If you are using the project's library, you will be able to select any of the existing Global Libraries. And if you are using a Global Library you will be able to select any other Global Library or revert back to the project's default library.

When you stop using a project library - by changing to a global library - the project library definition and static Steps associated with the project library will be stored. If at a later time you decide to go back to using the project's library the static steps and library settings will be restored.
