However, in certain major updates you may need manual approval by the Jira instance administrator. This This happens, for example, when new Xray features need additional additional scopes in Jira, or if the UI has changed dramatically. Jira requires that such updates be approved and installed manually by the administrator.
A manual update can also be required to resolve eventual disruptions to the service.
